About us

Himmel & Pannkaka is a kitchen that belongs to Väsby Support and Care. We prepare food for SÄBO (Elderly homes) and individuals within LLS (Daily activities). The kitchen is adapted for 700 portions per day. We work with a cold food system where we prepare the food on-site, cool it down, and package it. All food is then sent from our kitchen cold and heated at the respective units. This creates a freshly made and pleasant feeling at the units. We also have a restaurant connected to our kitchen where we serve lunch from Monday to Friday.

The Himmel & Pannkaka team consists of seven employees, including a kitchen manager, team leader, chefs, kitchen assistants, and a driver. We also have an LLS operation that works with us in the premises, handling simpler preparation, serving, and logistics. With a modern machine park and smart solutions combined with a well-thought-out structure and clear flow, we have created a system that is easy and fun to work in. Combining classic culinary craftsmanship with new technology, we follow the food we prepare all the way to the guest's plate.

About the position

You are a chef who, together with the kitchen team leader, is responsible for food preparation in the kitchen. Together with the kitchen manager, team leader, and other chefs, you will plan menus based on the season, climate-smart options, and future challenges with more plant-based dishes. The main tasks include preparation and cooking of cold and hot dishes, preparing the daily lunch in the restaurant, and managing the flow in the lunch restaurant, where good communication with serving staff is essential.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Very good knowledge of special diets and allergens
• Documented training in food hygiene. HACCP
• Several years of experience as a chef

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with a cold food system, preparing food that is then cooled before delivery. A B driver's license is also a plus.

You are a very self-driven person who enjoys a fast pace. You are also collaborative, being a team player. Furthermore, you are considerate and structured, working cleanly. We also believe that creativity is essential to fit into the role of a chef.
